Interim Pastor
Warren Thomason
Hi, I
am Pastor Warren Thomason
I served as Pastor of
Redeemer Lutheran Church, Englewood, FL from
October 1990 to October 2002 when I retired
to our home in St. Petersburg, FL. During
those years the congregation grew from a
membership of 60 to 400 souls. We built a
new large sanctuary and converted our old
one into a fellowship hall.
|
Our Child Care center
was started and grew into its own new
building. Youth groups for elementary,
middle school, and high school were active
and growing. We had lots of young families,
too. Sunday School was packed with children.
Bible Classes on Sunday and during the week
were jammed. We had lots of fun times,
dinners and good family fun. We were a happy
Christian family.
During my
“retirement” I was Vacancy Pastor for three
other congregations and conducted services
at many others, but I never found any one to
have the special spark that Redeemer has.
Well, I’m back
in Englewood now because of the illness of
our former Pastor, and all those same good
things are coming back, too! We are a
wonderful, friendly bunch of Lutheran
Christians who worship the Triune God with
great joy in the traditional Lutheran way.
From that same joy in the love God has for
each of us in His Son Jesus Christ we are
motivated to reach out in love to all
people. We have so many wonderfully
talented, loving folks here who are serving
in so many capacities – it won’t take us
long to recover and return to our former
level and beyond. It’ll be so much fun as we
all work together.
Oh – and please
call me whenever you’d like to talk about
anything - I’m always available to folks
either at the church 941-475-2410 or my
personal cell phone 941-350-5675. We invite
you to come worship with us and experience
what I’m bragging about. Until then, may God
bless you in all ways in CHRIST JESUS.
